My father (unfortunately?) began teaching me the cornet aged around six, and over the years I have played in a variety of brass and wind bands both in Essex where I am originally from, as well as here in
the North-West. This is my seventh year playing with Sale Brass, where I originally joined on rep, thankfully moving onto front row after a short while to escape the wit of Mr. Clive Robinson.
It looks like this is going to be my last year playing with Sale, because I am going to finish my PhD in microbiology this year and hopefully go to the US to work as a postdoc for a couple of years. I'm still
unsure whether this is good or bad news for the band...
